I know that our friends from Durban have been feeling very left out lately – especially since the Days of the dinosaur exhibition is not going there
So to brighten the Durbanites up I have founds some fun outings that the kids will love:
Umgeni River Bird Park:
The park is open from 9am to 5pm every day (closed Christmas day). Entry Fees are R50 for Adults and R30 for Children (4-12 years) and Pensioners
One of the highlights of the park is the free-flight bird show. Featuring an ever-changing cast of stars from around the world, the show is educational and loads of fun. Show times are at 11am and 2pm from Tuesday to Sunday with shows on Mondays only during school holidays. No visit to the park is complete without seeing the show. Please note shows are weather permitting.

Groovy Balls Adventure Park:
Why not try your hand at zorbing? What is zorbing you may ask? It is a new crazy sport where you hop inside a giant, transparent ball and roll downhill! Sure, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but the adventurous are sure to love it!
The Park offers different courses such as the “Kamikaze Run” – a 120-metre downhill roll – and a 60-metre ride for kids. If you want to combine you zorbing with some other activities, the park also offers go karting, target shooting and paintball.
Please note that booking is essential. Visit www.groovyballs.co.za to find out more

There is a coffee shop on site, as well as a braai and picnic area as well as an indoor play area incase of rain.
