Father’s Day poems – a special homemade gift!

Heidi JanitBy Heidi Janit

A good idea is to let your child paint or draw a picture for their dad and you can attach one of these poems to it and have it laminated! For younger children, use a photograph of them to go with the poem.

Daddy, I Love You

Daddy, I love you

For all that you do.

I’ll kiss you and hug you

‘Cause you love me, too.

You feed me and need me

To teach you to play,

So smile ’cause I love you

On this Father’s Day.

I’m Happy You’re My Dad

I feel safe when you are with me

You show me fun things to do

You make my life much better

The best father I know is you.

I’m happy you’re my Dad

And so I want to say

I love you, Dad, and wish you

A Happy Father’s Day!

First Father’s Day Poem

So this is your first Father’s Day,

Your first one as a dad

Get ready for surprises now,

The wildest you’ve ever had.

Just when you think you’ve got it down,

There’s a new and different stage

This little person changes a lot

With each fascinating age.

Being a dad takes all you’ve got

Your heart and mind you’ll invest

It’s the hardest job you’ll ever have

And the one you’ll love the best.
